Country 58/196: Vatican City. The smallest and one of the most unique nations on earth, the Vatican offers so many weird and wonderful quirks that it makes for a traveller’s dream. Most densely populated country, highest crime rate, a football team made up entirely of Swiss Guards, you can’t fail to find something of interest. Saint Peter’s Square and the Vatican Museums are a must which also includes a visit to the Sistine Chapel, home to Michelangelo’s most magnificent masterpiece. Be sure to have a pint or two in the majestic Vatican grounds, a beer garden unlike any other!
