Country 60/196: Slovenia. Not just mountains and lakes as one might assume, Slovenia has a complex, Venetian culture attached to its compact coastline which may catch the unenlightened traveller by surprise. It is also blessed with one of the most attractive capitals in Europe which welcomes all with open arms. Cave systems aplenty too, ensure a visit to Postojna although don’t lean outside the cave train or you will end up like a goon from the Temple of Doom.
