Country 8/196: Malaysia. A country separated by the ‘South China Sea’ into two similarly sized but highly contrasting regions. I decided to spend the festive season exploring the faraway island of Borneo, of which Malaysia controls the northern reaches. From my base in Kota Kinabalu, I struggled to the very summit of the nation, witnessing some of the most spectacular vistas of my fledgling voyage so far.
