Country 75/196: Hungary. The great nation of the Magyars, Hungary is a bit of an oddity in the heart of Central Europe. With an extremely complex and unique language as well as a hard-line leader, the nation is quite unlike any of her neighbours and this they are proud of. Despite being landlocked, Hungarians have easy access to freshwater via the region’s largest lake, Balaton, as well as an incalculable number of thermal baths. A visit to Széchenyi in Budapest is a must, a place where you can also take a warm bath in the world’s most consumed alcoholic beverage, just be sure to bring a clothes peg for your nose.
