Country 73/196: Germany. Lederhosen, beer benches, dirndls, oompah bands, masses, steins by the hundred, no not my eighteenth birthday party but Bavaria at its stereotypical finest. The Hofbräuhaus in Munich to be exact, which is a must-visit when exploring Germany’s southeasternmost corner. Neuschwanstein Castle is also well worth the hype while a stop at any village beer hall is a stop worth making. Particularly in Bamberg, where a banned beer diploma still awaits those brave enough to visit ten local breweries and stealthy enough to have the bartenders sign off on your pints without the local fuzz noticing. Prost!
