Country 77/196: Czechia. Divided in two by wine-swigging Moravia and beer-gulping Bohemia, Czechia, as the government has now branded it, has no rival when it comes to alcohol consumption and cheap alcohol consumption at that. It also has no rival when it comes to spectacular Gothic architecture, which the capital has in abundance. If driving through in winter, make certain you have your snow chains to hand and a shovel or three to dig you out of drifts when necessary. Also, ensure you pay a visit to the James Joyce in Prague to warm up your cockles in front of a roaring fire and an equally roaring Irish cèilidh. Na zdraví!
