Bucket List 196: Tajikistan!

Country 15/196: Tajikistan. I absolutely adore this country. The highlight of our Silk Road voyage, Tajikistan was as wild and as beautifully desolate as any nation I’ve ever been to. The Pamir Highway, for which we spent a week navigating, is a road falling apart at seams, as it navigates high mountain passes and raging rivers. We crept along its crumbling foundations passed Afghanistan to a hospital in the capital Dushanbe, where the local nurses brought Yugyeong back to full health. The most genial people combined with most extraordinary wilderness – my favourite nation in Central Asia.
