Country 26/196: Panama. The start of a new expedition led me to Panama, where my backpacking adventure through Central America began. From a capital city akin to Miami, all roads lead to beautiful wilderness, where jungles and waterfalls still rule the landscape. If you manage to escape the clutches of the forests and make it to the coast, you will be treated to some of the most paradisiacal islands this side of the Shetlands. Rules for Panama: don’t get distracted by the canal and never look a sloth in the eye.
