Country 3/196: Iceland. If your plane ever has a stop-over in Reykjavik, pick up your bags, leave the airport, and book a return flight in a week’s time. That’s what I did and I do not regret it (the Icelandic Phallological Museum had been on my bucket list for years – this was my chance). Iceland feels a bit like a well-oiled tourist machine – arrive, get pushed on to the same trips as everyone else, spend a small fortune, then get kicked out so that a fat ‘Merican with a bum bag can take your place. This does not mean you shouldn’t go, however…
