Country 22/196: Bulgaria. Whilst the urge to head straight to the fine beaches on the shores of the Black Sea may be great, there is far more to this country than cheap beer and loutish foreigners. We delved deep into the Bulgarian countryside and found gems unlike anything else we had seen on our Silk Road voyage.
