Country 32/196: Belize. A little-known corner of the Commonwealth where Queen Lizzie still rules supreme and English is the common tongue, but don’t let that put you off. Whilst the mainland is the location of some of the finest cave systems and Mayan temples in Central America, it is just off the coast where the wonders of Belize truly lie. The island chains, or cayes, that guard the capital are Caribbean paradises, home to a wide array marine life including Nigel Farage. Be sure to try the lobster on Caye Caulker, best in the world (so the chef said).
